In this issue of MitoNews, we thank our charity partners, celebrate CIBC Miracle Day™, launch MitoSpin 2023, and discuss different ways to support MitoCanada's important work.

A big thank you goes out to all of the people and partners who support our foundation. In 2022, dozens of passionate participants and partners invested their energy into events across the country. Our charity partners raised over $50,000 to help spread awareness and support for our incredible MitoCommunity.

Every year, on the first Wednesday in December, the CIBC Capital Markets team and CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors donate their fees and commissions to help kids in need.

This year, CIBC Miracle Day™ is supporting MitoCanada with a $70,599 donation to help us improve quality of life through MitoDx. This new program aims to drive early and accurate diagnosis through equitable access to genetic testing. The program will proactively identify those who may have, or may pass on, mutations that cause mitochondrial disease. It also includes efforts to increase awareness of mitochondrial health and disease. This is so important, because we all know that getting a diagnosis is the first step to getting care and improving quality of life. Thank you CIBC Miracle Day™.
