The uncertainty of how the disease will progress can be paralyzing because the only certainty is that mitochondrial disease is unpredictable since it impacts everyone differently-even with the same genetic mutation and even in the same family. Learning different skills and be willing to adapt is crucial.

Light Up for Mito this September!
On September 23rd, 2023, landmarks around the world will light up green to celebrate World Mitochondrial Disease Week (WMDW) and raise mitochondrial disease awareness. 

Currently MitoCanada has over 40 Canadian monuments and locations lighting up, but we want more!

Across Canada we have amazing partners hosting energizing events to help raise funds to support the Canadian MitoCommunity!
